Cognitum's Iosif M Gershteyn discusses the metabolic theory of cancer with Dr. Thomas Seyfried, professor at Boston College, and author of ‘Cancer as a Metabolic Disease’. The talk delves into the damage of mitochondrial function as the driving force of oncogenesis. Professor Seyfried explicates the theoretic underpinnings from Otto Warburg’s work, all the way to his discovery of the missing link of glutamine-based fermentation in view of the creation of a holistic theory of cancer biology.
