Repetition of Shalom

Detailed Information

This is a variation of the Simple Technique that uses the focus agent of the word “Shalom”. The word “Shalom” is from the Hebrew language and has several meanings, depending on the context. It is often used as a greeting or when departing. It also has the connotation of “peace”, as in the absence of war. It can also mean an inward sense of completeness or wholeness. It is compatible with those who adhere to the Judeo-Christian tradition.

From a phonetic standpoint, it is also interesting to note that the last syllable of “om” is the same sound that is used in the Hindu tradition as its most famous mantra.
